Based in Leicester (LE3) and just a minute's walk from Christ the King Catholic Primary School, Music with Manny offers fun and engaging piano and guitar lessons tailored to each child's interests and skill level.
Whether your child is a beginner or already passionate about music, they’ll learn to play their chosen instrument in a supportive and creative environment.

What ages do you teach?We offer lessons for kids aged 5-11! We adapt our teaching style to suit each age group and skill level, ensuring a fun and engaging learning experience.

Do you teach adults?Lessons for individuals aged 12 and older are available exclusively to beginners or late beginners starting their guitar journey. Students in this age group must provide their own guitar. Piano lessons are currently offered for ages 5–11, but exceptions may be made for beginners interested in piano lessons. All adult lessons are 1 hour. Please contact us for pricing.

Do you offer trial lessons?Yes! We offer 2 FREE 30 minute lessons so you and your child can get a feel for the lessons and see if it’s a good fit. These 2 free lessons can also be combined for a 1 hour free trial too! This is a no-obligation opportunity to meet and discuss your goals.

How long are the lessons?30 minutes. This is usually the sweet spot for kids learning an instrument. 1 hour lessons can be arrange too. Contact us for more details.

Are the lessons 1-2-1?Yes. All of our lessons are 1-2-1.

Do you offer mobile lessons?Yes, We provide mobile lessons for both piano and guitar within a 5-mile radius of our location (LE3 6DL), with an additional travel fee. For piano lessons, students must have a piano or keyboard at home. For guitar lessons, a guitar can be provided. Contact me for more details on scheduling and rates for mobile sessions.

Do you offer online lessons?We primarily offer in-person lessons, as they tend to be more effective for young learners. However, we do offer online lessons for children with specific needs or disabilities. Please contact us to discuss if this option might be right for your child.

How do I pay for lessons?Payments can be made via cash or bank transfer. We will provide all the details during our first session or trial lesson.

Do you offer 1 hour lessons?Yes. 1 hour lessons are available on request and are charged at £32 per hour. Bulk 1 hour lessons are also available. Contact us for more information.

Do you offer group lessons?At the moment, we focus on one-on-one sessions to provide personalised attention. This allows each student to progress at their own pace and get tailored instruction.

Do I need to buy a piano or guitar for my child before starting lessons?While owning an instrument is ideal for practicing at home, it’s not mandatory to start. We can provide guidance on affordable options and recommend rentals if needed.

Can my child work towards graded music exams?Yes! For students interested in formal achievements, We offer structured lessons to prepare for graded exams in both piano and guitar. This is optional and tailored to each child’s pace and goals.

How often should my child practice?Regular practice is key to progress! We recommend 10-15 minutes daily for beginners, increasing with skill level. We will provide practice tips to make it easy and enjoyable for kids.

What styles of music do you teach?We cover a wide range of styles, including classical, pop, and basic jazz for both piano and guitar. We customise lessons based on your child’s interests and goals.

What if we need to cancel a lesson?We understand that things come up! Just let me know at least 24 hours in advance, and we can reschedule the lesson. Missed lessons without notice and lessons cancelled within 5 hours of start time are non-refundable. Please check our terms and conditions for more information.

How soon will my child be able to play songs?Every child progresses differently, but beginners can usually start playing simple songs within a few weeks. We focus on making the learning process enjoyable so your child feels motivated and excited about each milestone.
